Frame by Frame!
The beginning to my online note book.
The more I learn about photography the more I want to
learn! I want to know everything there
is to know. I can’t get enough. But the more I learn the more I realize that I
need a place to keep everything – tips, tricks, camera settings and what they
mean, photos I want to try, edit tips, etc.
Hence, this blog!!
I know right, I’m the last person anyone would ever
expect to have a blog but it’s for me. An
online note book. A reference
place. Someday maybe I’ll share it with
friends and family but for now I think I’ll keep it to myself.
I followed along with a creativeLIVE Lightroon class
today hosted by Laura Shoe. It’s a 3 day
online class and I was very lucky to have the day off!!
Today she went over importing, selecting flags,
searching, moving photos to new folders, collections, etc. All very useful information! Before today I didn’t know that you could
manage your photos on your hard drive from within Lightroom. This alone is going to save me hours of work
and a bunch of headaches. Thank you
Laura!!
Notes from today:
- Place photos on your hard drive where you want them and import into Lightroom.
- Delete pictures that you don’t want from Lightroom and from your hard drive by selecting ‘remove from hard drive’.
- Use the flags to select what photos I want to keep and what ones I want to delete.
- Type 0 (zero) to remove a star rating.
- Applying metadata to your pictures is a good thing and I now know how to add it!
I’ll add more detail (step by step instructions) on some of these later but for
now I want to practice some things before I forget.
What's a photo blog without a photo...even if I'm the only one who will see it!
